Wat is straling?

Straling is energieoverdracht zonder dat er sprake is van direct contact.
Op basis van energiegehalte en risico wordt straling onderverdeeld in:
ioniserende straling zoals röntgen-/gammastraling en deeltjesstraling
niet-ioniserende straling zoals warmte, licht, micro- en radiogolven

Scholing

De NVS bevordert de overdracht van (wetenschappelijke) kennis en inzichten over stralingshygiëne door het aanbieden van cursussen en symposia.

In 80 lectures, exercises, seminars and experiments 20 high level experts will give a comprehensive, detailed overview on the present status, research perspectives and on open questions in the interdisciplinary field of radiation protection research.
This school is offered to European students, postdocs, etc. of physics, biophysics, radiation sciences, etc.

C) Natural and anthropogenic radiation exposure
D) Ionising radiation in medicine
E) Practical aspects of radiation protection

Registration
The registration fee is 150 € (incl. lectures, full board and accomodation in the
Physikzentrum). The number of participants is limited to 50. Participation will
be accepted in the order of incoming registrations.
Deadline for registration is 1st February 2010.
